Kennedy turned four months on the Forth of July. She is getting so big, I can't believe how fast time is going by. For the fourth this year I started the day by running a 5k. After that I came home got me and the kids ready and we had our own little BBQ. Later in the evening we met up with Julie and Craig and went to the firework show at the quakes stadium. They had free face painting so I took advantage of it and got Brooklyn's face painted. Brooklyn was terrified of the fireworks she did not enjoy them at all she kept her face covered the whole time. On the other hand Kennedy really enjoyed looking up at them. Here are just a few pictures of the day.

I can't believe how big Brooklyn is she will be 2 in just four short months. I have been slacking big time on taking pictures recently. I feel like I need to start capturing these moments of how little she is because before I know it she will be in college and getting married. I wish she stayed little! She is at such a fun age where she is trying to talk and is very independent. She does keep me very busy though, she still loves to explore and gets in to everything. She is the pickiest eater I know and always wants candy or fries. She really has melt downs if I don't give her fries, she cried for 1 hr straight for fries one day and I had to run out and get her fries it was 9:00 at night. :) She is funny! She loves to help me clean the house and I enjoy the help. She is a really good big sister and just loves her little Kennedy. She always wants to hold and kiss her and laughs at every squeak that comes from her. I am so blessed to have my two little girls I love them so much :)

Kennedy Grace was welcomed into our arms on 3/4/2011 at 12:16pm. She weighed 8lbs and was 20inches in length. After a long labor and delivery (38hrs) we are so glad to finally meet her.

We have been trying to do something fun every Saturday as a family. A couple weeks ago we were able to go to the LA Zoo. Brooklyn had so much fun she walked pretty much the whole zoo, and didn't want to be in her stroller at all.

We took Brooklyn to get her ears pierced. I was originally going to wait until she could ask for them so I can explain to her that it hurts and to make sure it is something that she wants, but then I was at the mall one day and I passed by Claire's so then I was like lets just get this over with, better for her to go through it now where she wont remember a thing then later when she will remember how bad it hurts. So of coarse I had to wait for John to get off of work and than later that night we went back to the mall.

Last night we went to the Disneyland Trick or Treat. Even though it rained the first hour we got there and drizzled off and on through the night we still had so much fun. Brooklyn loved dressing up when she was all ready I showed her in the mirror and she started laughing at herself, it was so cute.

I know you want pictures but you will have to wait. I still need to upload them and my computer is so slow right now. But in the meantime here is what has happened

Wow it has been a long time since I have updated and a lot of things have happened since. We found out in July we were expecting another baby. We also were able to go to the Budge Family Reunion in Utah, it was so fun to see everyone and to get to know everyone a little better. After the reunion I started to get morning sickness really bad which was really bad timing since I had been planning a 1st Birthday party for Brooklyn, which was in August. Luckily my sister in law Julie helped me out so much with the decorations and even going grocery shopping for me to get the food that was going to be served. I was so grateful to have so much help the day of the party, my sister came down from Arizona and stayed with me so she helped a ton the day of. Brooklyn started walking 3 weeks after her birthday and by the 4th week she was Pro and hasn't been able to sit still since. I have since baby proofed the whole house cause I was tired of cleaning up mess after mess. She would literally go from one room to the next pulling out everything out drawers, cupboards and anything she could get her little hands on. Just as I would finish cleaning one room she would have another room destroyed and off to the other. It was very tiring but I have learned and since put locks on everything. In September we went to the LA County Fair a lot. My mom has worked at the Fair pretty much my whole life so we always went to the fair when we were kids. I am so excited to take my kids every year now and cant live without going to the fair. It was so fun to get out of the house after being sick for so long, Brooklyn really enjoyed being out. October, My birthday is in this month and I have been really spoiled this year. My in laws had got tickets to see the Phantom Of the Opera for me and John. It was so much fun, I really enjoyed the play. John had got me a brand new camera and I am so excited to start taking pictures of Brooklyn my self. This month we also found out that Brooklyn is going to have a little Sister. We couldn't be more thrilled to have another little girl.

As it starts warming up outside I find more and more of these creatures in my house. I hate the heat too but please don't chill with me in my house.

So there is actually a story behind this picture.....

One morning as I was getting ready for the day I was at the kitchen table putting on my make-up and Brooklyn was down on the floor. Well I happen to look down as she was crawling away and this guy was right underneath her. I screamed and picked her up to search her legs to see if it bit her and after I found nothing on her I looked back down and it was gone. After jumping around just to make sure it didn't crawl up me I searched the area to find it under a furniture piece which is when I captured this photo cause I wanted evidence of the spider just in case I found a bite on Brooklyn later on. I have chills down my back just thinking about it.

Brooklyn turned 9 months this month. I cant believe its already been that long it sure has gone by so fast. She is getting so big and more and more independent these days. Although she refuses to crawl she sure does no how to get around either from scooting or crying until I move her in the spot she wants to go. She is saying new word all the time and just soaks up everything I tell her. She is my little sponge. She now says Mama, Dada, Papa, Nana for Night Night, Baba for bottle, and has been saying wow wow for Dog. She loves for me to read books to her every night and just sits and listens as I am reading them. I am going to start taking her to the public library for the bouncing baby story time program. She has also started to climb up on furniture and has been walking around the furniture as well. This is such a fun stage and I love that she is always such a smiley and happy baby. Here is a picture overload starting back from Easter Sunday.

Look what I got for just $20. 38 flowers of all colors and styles, now Brooklyn is all set. I had ordered these on Monday and they came today is the mail, that was fast.

Brooklyn has been drooling like crazy since she has been teething and has been going through bib after bib. So my sister Liza who is good at sewing came up with this pattern for bibs and made thick ones so they don't soak through them as fast. Aren't they so cute. Brooklyn can have one of these on all day and still not have it soak through. Brooklyn already has her two bottom teeth at 7 months.

Last night I put on a baby shower for my sister in law Julie. I custom made everything to match her bedding. My sisters wanted to see all the things that I did so I am posting them on here.

6 Month Stats

Brooklyn finally had her 6 month check up today. It took me a while to find her a new pediatrician that I can trust. Her first Dr. was absolutely horrible and we had the worst experience with him when Brooklyn got really sick, so I new I had to switch but finding a really good, caring Dr. is really hard these days. Well I found one and she is the best.

Weight: 15.5 (50th percentile)

Height: 26.5 (75th percentile)

Brooklyn is very healthy the Dr. said she is growing just fine and is tall for her age. Some other news is Brooklyn got her first tooth. I was feeding her from a silver spoon some of my food when I felt something scraping the bottom of the spoon. So I felt her gums and sure enough there was a little tooth poking through. I had no idea she was even teething.

6 Months Already

This post is a little late but Brooklyn Turned 6 months on the 12th, wow the past 6 months have gone by so fast. It is so sad and so fun at the same time to see my little girl grow up so fast. I always look forward to each milestone. I try to enjoy each moment with this little one, even the moments when she throws fits cause she doesnt get what she wants. She is so spoiled and she knows it, I really have to do something about this before she gets older and its to late. Here are a few pictures cause I know you just can't get enough of this face.

I had just gotten home from a long day of sewing table clothes for my sister in law Julie's baby shower that I am putting together and I had asked John if he could feed Brooklyn her dinner, well this is what you get when you ask someone with no experience....

This next one is her first Valentines outfit.

This one was from last Sunday right before church. I ended up switching her bow cause I didn't really like the flower instead I put a black bow with white polk a dots to match the buttons. But this is still cute.

Some of the tricks Brooklyn can do:

Roll from her tummy on to her back. (she can almost go from back to tummy)

She has found her toes and loves to grab on to them or even put them in her mouth.

She is starting to be a really good eater and is finally putting on some lbs. she still is small only wheighing 15lbs. Some of her favorite food are: Oatmeal and fruit for breakfast.( her favorite is oatmeal with pears and cinnamon) and for dinner she loves sweet potatoe and turkey. Her favorite snacks are cheese puffs from the baby isle and loves a peice of chocolate chip cookies every now and then.

Brooklyn loves her toys and has really good hand and eye coordination. She will grab with one hand switch it to the next and all toys go in the mouth.

She can almost sit by herself but we are still working on it.

Here is a video of Brooklyn playing in her jumper she is just figuring out she can bounce in it.( I turned the camers to the side at one point so sorry you will have to turn your head to wacth it.)

Best Valentines Ever

I had a really great Valentines weekend. It started on Friday when John came home from work with a bouquet of roses and a card in his hand. He handed me the flowers to put in a vase and the card to put away till Saturday, but I thought he was giving it to me to open. So I spoiled the surprise by opening the card early. Well in side the card was a check in my name for 1000.00 dollars. I decided to get a new kitchen table and a buffet server table. I tried to take pictures of them with my camera but there was a really bad glare so I stole the ones off the furniture website.

After having my dad help us bring the furniture home and help put it together John made a wonderful teriyaki chicken dinner. He is such a great cook and always comes up with new things to try that turn out really good. Thanks John I love you!

Its Never Too Late

To blog about December happenings....

Wow the time sure does go by so quickly I can't believe we are already in February. December was a very very busy month for me. My sister Katie got married on the 12th and my sister Lindsay and I decorated for the reception, it turned out so nice we even had people ask if we can do their daughters weddings, but said "we will never do this again" it was so stress full. Right before Christmas John's sister Cindy was able to come visit from Kentucky and brought down two of her boys with her. It was so good to spend time with her family. We went to Disneyland with them.

This next picture is John and Brooklyn right before church. I love having a little girl to dress up and put bows on. I hope she is a girly girl. John always talks about putting her in soccer and softball and I always tell him she is just going to be in dance, then he says we will let her decide when shes older so I hope she is like her mom and doesn't have a desire for them.
This was Brooklyns first time eating a teething biscuit. She absolutely loved it. I had to try something different than just her cereals and baby food she started not to like them.

Moving on to Christmas....

This year I had my family come over on Christmas morning for some home made cinnamon rolls and to open a few gifts. I have found a wonderful recipe for cinnamon rolls they are to die for. They are more like a sticky bun. They are the best I have ever made and tried.

Here is a picture of Brooklyn right after she had to get her blood drawn due to the swine flu. It was so sad :(

Also on Thanksgiving day Santa visited the Budge home and brought some presents for all the kids. At first Brooklyn did not know what to think of a white bearded man dressed in a red suite.

But then I told her He was going to bring her presents on Christmas day and she loved it.

Wow, I cant believe how fast this year has gone by especially these past few months. Even though we were down for a couple of weeks in the month of November due to the swine flu, but we all survived and got right back in to the holiday season and were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. This year was full of adventure, in March we were able to take a cruise to Mexico. In May we were deeply saddened by the passing of our wonderful father and grandfather Robert Budge, we cant wait till we can reunite with him in the life to come. In August we became parents to our beautiful daughter Brooklyn who we just adore and love so much, she is such a joy to have around and brings much happiness to the family. In September we were able to move in to a Home and just love the extra space and privacy of being home owners. In October we became annual pass holders to the happiest place on earth (Disneyland) and enjoy going about twice a month. Brooklyn is so alert now and just loves to be out and about. In November Cindy came down to visit and we were able to enjoy her company. My sister Lindsay was also able to take a break from her busy life and spend a few months in California. I will be so sad when she goes back to Utah. I will miss just calling her to come right over for a photo shoot with Brooklyn. Well during this Christmas season we hope you reflect upon our Savior and His birth. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Stay away we're sick

Now knows how my baby feels and what her symptoms are. Major headach and fever , chest pains, Hurts to breathe, body achs, deep chest cough even though it feels lie nothing is in there, hurts to cough. And her Dr. said it was a stuffy nose, this feels more like flu to me. I just wonder how she is survivng, even though she is sick she still can let out a smile or a coo every once in a while when she gets her strength back. i just want to ball up in fetal position and cry. Please pray for us.

Yesterday was Brooklyn's baby blessing. We had all the family down to celebrate this wonderful day. Thanks to all who came down from Utah and Arizona. Here is a picture of all who was there.

3 Year Anniversary

Today was our 3 year wedding anniversary and we were able to get out for the evening with baby in tow. We went to The Cheesecake Factory it was so good. Here is a few pictures of the evening.

A lady came up to us and said oh this must be the first time out with the baby let me take your picture, to bad I was so concerned about getting the food out of my teeth. Oh well. Well we have survived two weeks home with the baby. I can't believe how fast time is flying. After dinner we went to Sam's club to pick up diapers wipes and formula. WOW. Your life really does change once you have kids. Well it was a wonderful anniversary. I am so happy I have eternity with my Family.

Delivery Day

39 wks 5 days

Well as you guys have all been waiting for, details. So on Tuesday Aug. 11, 2009 I checked in to the hospital at 8:00pm. They stared me on a cervix softener the whole night and nothing really happened except I dilated to 2cm. The next morning around 8:00am they started me on pitocin(if that's how you spell it) and then the Dr. came in and broke my water(which was the weirdest feeling) after that things started happening so fast the contractions came closer together and so much more stronger. Around 12:00pm I couldn't take the pain any longer so I got an epidural, about that time I was dilated to 4 cm. After the epidural kicked in I got to take a nap for two hrs until I woke up in pain and feeling so sick. First thing I thought is, you are not supposed to feel anything once you get the epidural, and i was feeling every contraction, second, I felt so sick I had to throw up(which I did). So i called the nurse to see what was going on, once she came in she checked me and was like oh my gosh you are already 8cm dilated so she said I will come back in and 1 1/2 hr to check you again. Well 30 min went by and I felt so much pressure like I needed to push. So I called the nurse back in to see what was going on. She came in and checked me again and she said ok you are ready to push I was already 10 +2 cm dilated. Every thing happened so fast I couldn't believe that it was already time to push I was so anxious and nervous to finally get to see the little princess I have been carrying in me for 9 months. Well after a whole hr of pushing Brooklyn Jane arrived at 4:43pm.

Belly shot at 30 weeks

Today I had another ultrasound. The doctor told me that the baby is measuring in the 90th percentile for growth and she is growing way to fast, she could be 9lb or more when born. So they are going to perform another ultrasound at week 38 to check her weight again to see if I will need to be induced. I am really scared now. I finally got the cord to download pictures from my camera to my computer. So I have much to blog about. First off John and I were able to go on a cruise this year. We thought with a baby on the way we better get as much vacationing in as we can. So we went on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. It was a seven day cruise too long for me but still enjoyed it. I got sea sick which i think was due to my pregnancy cause when we went on a cruise for our honeymoon I didn't get sick at all. So that was no fun especially since I couldn't take any medicine for it. The room was really nice we had a big window where we could look out and see the ocean. John decided to not get an assigned room when we paid for the cruise cause the guy told that we may get an upgrade if we just let them assign it for us, I was a little nervous not knowing where we would be placed but it all worked out cause we did get the free upgrade with the big window in our room and a bigger bed.

We even took a tour at each stop. It was really nice to learn more about thier culture and how they live.

on one of our tours we visited a cactus field it was really pretty. I would have never thought that cactus could look so pretty.

My Dad is so awesome he has been painting for over 20 yrs now and he does amazing work. He put board up half the wall and painted the room. He also painted polka dots for me. I love the room I am so greatful that I have someone who is so talented in my life. Love you Dad. Thanks.

Wow, it finally seems so real. Being able to see her today was so much fun, and yes its still a girl. She is such an active baby I can feel her so much and the Ultrasound Tech had some trouble trying to capture the pictures it was so fun to see her kicking away. John says she looks like him, I would have to agree, she has the Budge head it measured a little bit bigger than the rest of the body.Ha Ha. They also moved my due date back up to Aug. 14 it feels so good to be a little closer to the due date. I already have so much stuff for her. Her room is almost complete and once it is finished I will post some pictures. I have so much more to blog about, but I will have to do so in another post. I need to get a cord to download my pictures from my camera to my computer. I am going to get one tonight so hopefully you will see alot more picture posts on this blog.

GIRL!!!!

Today I went to my school to have a ultrasound done since my official ultrasound is not until April 2 and I couldn't wait that long to find out what I was having. I am so glad that I went to school for Ultrasound cause I could understand everything that is going on in the picture. Even though I haven't worked since I have graduated it is really good knowledge. I am so glad to have a little girl first that is what John and I wanted first. The name will be Brookelyn Jane.

Today I had an Ultrasound appointment. I have been really really really sick. I have been staying at my Moms house for the past few weeks cause I just can't function on my own. I have also been spotting for the past few days so when I saw the ultrasound today and saw the little person bouncing around and its heart beating I was so relieved. It was so comforting to see everything was ok. They actualy moved my due date back to August 26th that is Our wedding anniversary date, but they did say it will probably change again since I am still too early and once the baby starts growing it will change.

Today is my 22nd birthday my family and Julie and Craig are going out to eat at Famous Dave's BB-Q. I can't wait, I have heard it was the best BB-Q resturaunt. After that this year john decided instead of him picking out a gift for me he was just going to take me to the mall to pick out a complete outfit I am so excited I always LOVE to get new threads. I am so greatful to have most of my family so close to me so they can share this day with me but yet so sad to have two of my favorite sisters live so far away. Well not that far but far enough they can't make it.

I cant beleive two years has gone by. Yesterday was our 2 year anniversary. It was so much fun, while John worked I went to Disneyland in the morning with my sister Liza and her kids we had so much fun, I finally got to go on the new ride toy story mania it was cool. When John came home from work he had roses and a card in his hand, he's so cute. He took me out to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory it was delicious. And tonight we are going to the Pantages Theater in Hollywood to see Wicked. I have always wanted to see the show so John finally caved in and bought tickets for our anniversary.

Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while, but I can't get photos on to my computer. So I will just give you a little update untill I remember to take my camera to my parents house so I can download them on to my blog. Lets see Me and John survived the pioneer trek it was such an awesome experience. Definitily a testimony builder. The whole month of July my neice and my nephew came to visit us here in California they live in Arizona. I had so much fun with them, they got to stay the weekends with me, we had a blast. They got to spend the fourth of July with me it started out with the La Verne parade to a B-B-Q at Johns parents and ended the night in Chino at my sister Liza's house we had another B-B-Q and lit off fireworks. I even got to take them to Knotts Berry Farm I was so surprised how brave they were, we got on Excelerator which is a crazy ride you take off so fast you go from 0 to 82 mph in 2.3 seconds then you go straight up and straight down. The next ride that I was surprised they went on was Silver Bullet that goes upside down 6 times and your feet are dangling. My whole family was able to get together this month for a Family picture my Sister had come down from Arizon to pick the kids up and it just so happen to be the same time my sister Lindsay was coming down from Utah to attend a wedding. It was so much fun to have all six girls together and there kids. It has been such a busy month. I am almost done with school I have about 3 weeks left and its going by so fast. I can't beleive it has already been 15 months since I started school, time just flys. John has been busy with work. And we are just loving all the exciting things that are going on.

Out of Shape

This year for the stake youth conference our stake is going on a Pioneer Trek, and John and I have been asked to be Ma's and Pa's. They told us we would be watching over 10 youth which is boys and girls and we would be pulling a handcart. Sounds Fun Right???? Then they told us we would be hiking 15 miles a day while pulling the handcart in the middle of July with Pioneer clothing on and we cant take showers or wear make-up. Doesn't sound so much fun after all!!! But me and John have gladly accepted this calling and are preparing our selves for this Trek by going up to Mt. Baldy every weekend and hiking. So today was our first time going hiking and it was intense. I can say I am really out of shape, and we only hiked for 1 hr. I can't imagine 15 miles a day for 3 days. But I am having so much fun making my pioneer outfit once I am done I will have to put some pictures up.

Well no pictures yet but I thought I would tell you a little bit about us and what we are doing now. So I will start with our marriage. John and I got married August 26,2006 in the Los Angeles Temple. We have been married for almost two years, time goes by so fast. Currently I am attending American Career College. I am studying Ultrasound. I will be done with school in 3 months, I cant wait. John is working for Allstate selling insurance, and also works hard in his church calling.
